ABCRG65 – Associação Brasileira da Classe RG65 was officially founded on March 12, 1999, we are the second country in America to join the RG65 class, the first steps of the class sailed by sailboats of Brazilian and Argentine projects, due to the great acceptance of the class if spread quickly throughout Brazil.
Our history in the RG65 class has been formed through 25 years of selfless work by some sailors, such as Antônio Augusto de Souza Lima, one of the biggest supporters of the class in Brazil, he was the first coordinator and founder of this association, he remained in the position for 10 years, responsible for conducting the interests of this class internationally, strengthened ties with Máximo Lange with the objective of founding the RG65ICA.
Another selfless Pedro Lafitte Stier Neto, coordinated the class for a few years, but his great legacy was the conquest of two titles in world championships and five South American ones, with his Skinny project and his production of masts and sails, which are now sailed around the world. .
Over 45 years, the class has been gaining strength in the world, due to its freedom of design, ease of transport and low acquisition cost.

A ABCRG65 – Associação Brasileira da Classe RG65 foi fundada oficialmente em 12 de março de 1999, somos o segundo país na América a aderir a classe RG65, os primeiros passos da classe navegados por veleiros de projetos brasileiros e argentinos, pela grande aceitação da classe se espalhou rapidamente por todo o Brasil.
Nossa história na classe RG65 vem se formando através de 25 anos de trabalho abnegado de alguns velejadores, como principal Antônio Augusto de Souza Lima, um dos maiores incentivadores da classe no Brasil, foi o primeiro coordenador e fundador desta associação, permaneceu no cargo durante 10 anos, responsável pela condução dos interesses desta classe internacionalmente, estreitou laços com Máximo Lange com o objetivo na fundação da RG65ICA.
Outro abnegado Pedro Lafitte Stier Neto, coordenou a classe durante alguns anos, mas seu grade legado foi a conquista de dois títulos em campeonatos mundiais e cinco sul americanos, com seu projeto Skinny e sua produção de mastros e velas, que hoje são velejados pelo mundo.
Ao longo de 45 anos a classe vem se fortalecendo no mundo, por sua liberdade de projeto, por sua facilidade de transporte e baixo custo de aquisição.
