Just heard that France will be holding there RG65 Nationals at Montville on October 16th-17th.

All Covid depending but lets hope they can host the event and even better if travel restrictions allow oversea competitors.

We wanted a massive National, matching with the Corinthian Spirit, and with skippers from any horizons...

We got it!!!

This venue with 42 skippers, from real beginners to international level competitors, including juniors and women, and 2 skippers from Belgium is a success.

2 sunny autumn days, with variable winds from very poor to end of rig A, very shifty in direction and force.

3 fleets and only 8 races could be run, in a very friendly atmosphere. No shoutings, no jury cases, very few incidents, and lots of help from skilled skippers to beginners.

Huge thanks to the organizing Club de Voile d'Angoulême and to all skippers! A special mention to the Race Officer Eric KOPKA that understood and applied the Corinthian Spirit. And special thanks to the 2 BEL skippers for their participation (hope to see BEL joining the ICA soon 😉 ).

Please find below the results, with types of boats. (more to come on rg65.fr )

Achille, have you a venue and date for 2022 Nationals? Wind or Drift?
